Skating in Ottawa
Ottawa is an excellent city for inline skaters. The city maintains well over 60Km of public paths which are open to walkers, bikers and skaters. The paths are usually open from late april until late october, depending on weather conditions. To find out more about the city paths and conditions, check out our Path Report
Aside from the city paths the club enjoys a number of local skating venues which offer excellent training for recreational and speed skaters alike. For more information and venu maps, see the Venues page.
Skate safety is always important. In the blink of an eye you can loose your balance, no matter how good you are, always wear a helmet when skating, and be aware of local by-laws. To find out more about local laws and skating, see our Local Laws page.
