What You Will Learn
Each of these self contained Quick Start clinics will teach you the basic skills you need to get going quickly on your K2 skates:
- Skating stances
- Stopping & controlling your speed.
- How stand up safely after falling.
- Basic skate striding
- Basic turning
Our experienced coaches can show you the basics, and if you are ready for more advanced skills you should check out our regular programming, we have programming for the fitness skaters and competitive skaters.
Time & Place
The K2 Quick Start clinics will be held at the Sunday Bikedays booth on Rockcliffe parkway (the P7 parking log near Kaymar Drive) from 11AM to 12AM. For the actual dates see the How to Join section below.
After the first hour of skills training, interested skaters will be taken out for some smooth skating on the new pavement of the Rockcliffe parkway. Enjoy the fresh air and the new skills!
There are no rain dates for these sessions. You may sign up for as many as you like though.
How to Join
Each clinic is self contained, you may attend as many as you like, but you must register in advance to be eligable for prize draws and for us to assign coaches.
To join a FREE Quick Start clinic just click on a date link below. Each link will take you a sign up page for that event. On the sign up page click on the Join Event link. After providing your name and email, you will officially be registered for that clinic. Your email address will only be used to notify you of any important changes to the event, and will not be shared with other skaters, websites or companies.
