getting back in stride! April 19 was the first
pre-season club practice and the weather couldn't
have been better! Register online to take advantage of
all the benefits of membership ... and get that summer

10 Steps to Happy
Bearings Always a hot
topic - bearing maintenance. Ray claims not to be an
expert - but I've seen him after many a rainy race
cleaning up - so get Ray's step by step here.

Social
Skating I just checked the
mileage club progress. There are over 2,000 km logged in the first 20
days of the season - and most of these days it seems it
was wet out! The Petit train du nord schedule is
updated. For inspiration here are some of last year's trip reports. Plus, check
out the regular Wednesday social skates to get your
mileage up, too! |

Provincials in Harriston, May 19
to 21 The provincial championships (get forms
here) are open to all skaters. The event is held on a
banked track in Harriston and features several short
track events, including sprints, relays, elimination and
points races. Although this event is used to qualify
skaters for the nationals and Pan-Am Games, there are no
prerequisites to skating in the provincials. Speaking of
the "most unusual backyard in Canada" - check out some of the programs being
run at the Canadian Inline Training Centre by
Alex Perrie.
