Rockcliffe Parkway Repaved 
OISC inline skaters - headerThe NCC is repaving Rockcliffe Parkway. we've got a quick preview though - this picture is for real. It'll be amazing skating there again!
 
We've spoken with the NCC folks and they tell us that it's going to reopen before Sunday Bikedays finish. In fact, it looks like they are on target for week of August 13 - check the NCC site for info!Check our web site for updates, too.

The K2 Fun-Fit Wednesday Social Skates are all about fun, fitness & friends. This group's focus is mostly recreational skating as a way to enjoy the outdoors and adopt a more active lifestyle. Come out and enjoy the Ottawa paths for a couple of hours of skating and then refuel with us at a local restaurant or pub. All the info and weekly starting points.

Get some straight info from Beth, registered dietitian and athlete, on Carb content of common pre-workout foods as well as some straight talk on carbs in general.

Until August 26, 2007 we are offering basic skills "Try and Learn" workshops on Colonel By Drive. Facilitated by instructors from the Ottawa Inline Skating Club, these workshops are geared to new skaters who want to learn about skating safety, inline skating equipment, and try out basic technigue including stride, turning and braking. Plus you can volunteer some hours and help other skaters out as a patroller or work the tent!

OISC is a non-profit club run by skaters for skaters. We offer programming for recreational, fitness, speed skaters as well as those interested in racing track or road. Now in our seventh year, we keep growing and evolving. Join us for social skating or training and make yourself at home!

Canada was represented by 4 inline skaters and coaches at this year's Pan Am Games. It's pretty much the only major multi-sport championship that includes inline speed skating as well as roller figure skating.
