  • Your Sport Nutrition Meal Plan in Practice by Beth Mansfield

Physical activity can suppress appetite during training and for a couple of hours after the workout. This causes a lot of difficulty because athletes often don’t feel like eating during, or right after their workout. Hunger mechanisms can slow down considerably.

    Summer by Dominique Larocque

Funny how the heat sends some of us straight into "BMW" mode, my acronym for "bitch, moan and whine." Eh! Summer is here, let's embrace it. We are so lucky to live in a country that offers us four distinct seasons. Each season is unique in its panorama of colours, temperature ranges and elemental quality. Enjoy every moment of heat, haziness and humidity and don't forget that in 6 months, you may be very well complaining about how cold it is. Enjoy the seasons and what they have to offer. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad choices in clothing.

Well-structured and varied workouts by Barry Publow

    rain?

The body thrives on variety, and repeating the same workout at the same speed does nothing to ensure ongoing improvement. Interval training is the cornerstone method for preparing the body for the strenuous demands of competition, but to be effective there has to be a proper ratio of work to rest.
