Updates on inline skating and club activities June 1, 2007

June is a super hot skating month here in Ottawa. All the activities are highlighted in this e-news - by date or deadline - and you are invited to participate in everyone of them!
Plus seats are almost filled for the most exciting inline skating event in North America this year!
June 2 - RSO Point Series #1 in Aylmer
Track start This series is a great way to meet skaters, enjoy a fun filled competitive morning with various race distances and formats. Ability Groups are established using a 1,500 m time trial. And from there the fun continues with a 500m and a 10,000m. Come skate, watch, volunteer
June 2 - Tour Ottawa
National Gallery sculpture with skaters Tour Ottawa, for the Saturday morning recreation seeker: smooth recreational paths, great National Capital scenery, do good by raising funds for The Ottawa FoodBank. 11 am start.
June 3- OISC Skate Stop every Sunday
OISC skate stop The OISC Skate Stop will be back on Colonel By, as part of NCC/Alcatel-Lucent Sunday Bikedays. Volunteer as part of our skate patrol, teach skate safety and skills sessions for the public, or just come by and say hello. 
June 14 - Club Time Trial #2

June 15 Early Bird Registration deadline for Ottawa Inline Skating Festival

June 16 - First Petit train du nord trip 
Petit Train du NordStart at 7:15 am from Ottawa by car. Skate by 10 am on pristine Laurentian path. There will be 40Km, 60Km, 80 KM and 100 KM teams - as you please. and I hear the food after is great, too.
