2007 / 2008 Indoor Inline
The indoor inline program has been extended during the entire month of April! Each session is FREE for all 2008 club members! Just drop in!
Please consult the schedule. The dates and times change each week, depending on when the facility is available for skating.
Fall / Winter Tune Up
For the first time the Ottawa Inline Skating Club will be offering its members indoor inline programming. This fall and and winter, come out and join us for indoor inline skating at the Gatineau Multisport facility. With indoor inline skating in the fall and winter you can perfect your technique, stay fit and propel yourself into an excellent 2008 skating season! Full details on programming, directions, and registration can found below.
Programming
The indoor inline program will focus on technique, fitness, strength and speed. For skaters who wish to improve their technique and fitness over the winter we will offer one hour of practice time on saturday mornings. For more performance oriented skaters, we will be offering a one hour plyometrics session followed by a one hour speed training session on saturdays.
Skaters may participate in both the technique/fitness session, and the speed session. However, all skaters must be club members, holding either a 2007 or 2008 OISC club membership.
Schedule
The club has secured additional time slots at the recreational facility during the winter months. The winter session from January to March will retain the same schedule as offered during the current fall session!
Fall session: Saturdays from October 27 - December 22
Winter session: Saturdays from January 5 - March 28
Spring (April) session: Weekends from April 6 - April 26
- Sunday April 6, 19:00 - 20:00
- Saturday April 12, 11:00 - 12:00
- Sunday April 20, 13:00 - 14:00
- Saturday April 26, 14:00 - 17:00
- Wednesday April 30, 18:30 - 20:30
While the club is not seeking a profit from this program, we do have to recover the costs of renting time at the indoor facility. We have created several options that we hope will fit your needs and schedule, all options are priced very affordably compared to other indoor programs or winter sports activities.

NOTE: only 2007 Race Team members should register using the 2007 Race Team option. If you wish to become a new race team member, register with one of the other programs, and you will be allowed to participate with the race team fully.
The race team discount is tied to the coaching and clinics provided by the 2007 race team. This is why it applies only to the 2007 race team. It does not apply to the 2008 race team.
All of these options provide an amazing value for indoor inline during the fall and winter. Other indoor programs can cost 2x as much, or more!
Facility
The indoor skating is held at the new Centre Multisport at 211 rue Montcalm in the Hull sector of Gatineau (1.2 km from the Chaudiere Bridge). The Centre Multisport used to be the old Hull foundry, which was converted into a bright, spacious indoor sports facility. The inline skating is done on the second floor on the basketball court at the far left of the facility as you get up the stairs.
Registration
Register for indoor inline here.
Members who signed up for the fall session will receive a $10 discount off the list price of the winter session. Members who signed up for the "full" package in the fall have already received this discount.
Drop-in Policy
- Drop-ins are allowed for 2007 or 2008 OISC full club members from 12:00-1:00 during our Technique/Fitness program. A fee of $10 cash is to be paid upon arrival at the session.
- Non-club members may drop in only once for a fee of $10. After that, they must obtain a club membership if they want to attend another session. This applies to everyone except guest coaches.
- Participation of guest coaches has to be approved by our speed hour coach Stephane Tremblay prior to arriving at the session. The guest coach may skate as a participant in either the speed or technique/fitness hour as long as they coach the other session. Guest coaches are not required to pay the $10 fee. An assistant coach arriving with the guest coach is subject to the guest coaching rules and also requires Stephane's consent. Friends visiting with a guest coach are subject to the standard drop-in rules and $10 fee.
