It's not all about training, it's about having fun too! After improving your time over distance through the Ottawa Inline training programs, it's time to enjoy the Ottawa Inline Social Events!

For 2009, the Social Events calendar promises to provide many opportunities for our members to get together and socialize, from the Wednesday evening Social Skates, to the event schedule highlighted below.  Our members rave about our excursions to the P'tit Train du Nord and plan to join us for the Turkey Roll to help out the Ottawa Food Bank.

Le P'tit Train du Nord is an old railroad converted into a 200KM path meandering through the beautiful Laurentian countryside, with a 93.5 KM section from Labelle to Mont Laurier paved in 2003. This trail is ideal for inline skating as the railroad has smooth asphalt and a maximum grade of 6 degrees.

The Turkey Roll is along distance social skate to enjoy the blissfully smooth recreational paths, great National Capital scenery, and help The Ottawa Food Bank all at the same time.

The Ottawa Inline Social Committee was established to promote the social interaction among club members through skating activities during the season, and related activities throughout the entire year.  Let us know if you have ideas for Social Events and ways to promote camaraderie among the terrific group we have!
