Reframe
Now that the National Capital marathon is over, it is time to re-evaluate your progress and set new goals for yourself. We are lucky to have Gatineau Park available on Tuesday evenings with the club (North loop), Thursday evenings and the full loop - with even bigger hills - Sunday mornings as part of NCC/Alcatel Sunday Bikedays. Am I already hearing you say: "I hate hills - they are hard!"
I invite you to change your attitude! Reframe your negative thoughts into positive ones: "Even though hills are demanding, I am committed to skating them once a week because I know it will make me a better and stronger skater." Reframing negative thoughts into constructive ones is a powerful habit in every part of life. And skating hills at least once a week is now a given.
