Goals

What do you want for yourself for the National Capital Race Weekend? Ah! The famous question I ask all my students. Not having a clear and well-phrased affirmation of your goals (three maximum) makes you more susceptible to failure and disappointment. A Harvard study showed that writing down your goals increases the chances of accomplishing them by 95%! So ask yourself: "What do I want for marathon day?" Write it down, post it on your fridge, your agenda, or your computer as a constant reminder that you are committed to the goals you set.

Don't aim too low. Philosopher Rudolf Steiner said that we are never given a dream or a vision that inwardly we know we cannot accomplish. Hmm, interesting, isn't it? So it's simple: take the time to do your homework and see what magic you can create on May 29!
