We moved
the Festival site to Rockcliffe Parkway - one
of Ottawa's beautiful Parkways that runs along
the Ottawa River in the eastern part of the city.
The conditions are absolutely ideal for inline
skaters: amazing pavement, and a fast, scenic
and safe course.

STROKE FOUNDATION
As part
of our effort to promote healthy living in Ottawa,
2008 Ottawa Inline Skating Festival is a proud
supporter of the Heart
and Stroke Foundation Fit for Heart program .
Fit for Heart events take place throughout the
year in a number of communities as an exciting
way to raise money for critical life-saving research.
Festival participants have the option to raise
money on behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation
prior to race day. To participate in the fundraising,
you may [securely

out a pledge form . The Heart and Stroke Foundation
will be collecting pledge forms and donations
at their tent on race day.

commentary, interviews and public service announcements
throughout the day. The excitment will build through
several events that allow families and racers
alike to enjoy this great event on brand new pavement!

The
3 overall male and female Triple Crown winners
will recieve prize money or merchandise. There
are also awards and prizes for the top 7 male
and female marathon finishers as well as the top
5 male and female finishers. Cash awards are same
as last year for both events. We have merchandise
prizes for every race for both males and females.

The
Ottawa Inline Skating Festival provides fun for
the entire family. Whether you are 7 or 70 years
old, we have a race for you! Featuring 4 distinct
events, the Triple Crown (10 km, 21 km and 42
km) and the team 21 km relay for both recreational
and competitive skaters. Last year's event was
a fabulous success, winning rave reviews from
all participants. This year will be even better
with a new location, and new pavement, more community
support and even more prizes for everyone!
Join us for this day of fitness and fun on wheels.
Note: We encourage participation in multiple events at $15 additional per race.
5K Family Fun Race - 1:45 PM
A fun skate for the whole family and an easy distance for young skaters. Here all participants must register.
Top 3 male and female finishers receive ribbons and merchandise. All finishers receive medals!
10K Race - 1:20 PM
An ideal event for reasonably fit skaters and competitive racers alike. This is an ideal distance for fitness skaters who want to benchmark their progress and speed.

Half
Marathon and Half Marathon Relay-
4:15 PM
This team event is a fun-filled outing
for you and your friends

The individual event is long enough to be a challenge, but not out of reach for most recreational skaters. Makes for fun racing as well as a friendly cool down for eager marathoners.

Full Marathon - 2:00 PM
The main event... 42.2 km of pure pleasure on Rockcliffe Parkway. Skaters of every speed and level of experience love to challenge themselves in the marathon. Finish times will range from 1:15 to 3:30. Enjoy!

Organizers
The
Ottawa Inline Skating Club is a not-for-profit
organization that was founded in 2000. The club
is run by members for members as well as to serve
the community in the promotion of fitness and
fun through safe inline skating.
