How to Register

Online registrations will be accepted up until 23:59:59 on Friday 29 August by following the Register online link.  This is a fast, easy, convenient, and secure method of registering for the 2008 Festival.

If you are unable to register online, please print and fill in the downloadable PDF registration form . Bring your completed form with you at race kit pick up or on race day.  We will accept CASH ONLY, no cheques, credit or debit cards, or money orders will be accepted.

Event Fees

NOTES:

1. Online registration will close at 23:59:59 on Friday 29 August.
2. On site event registration closes at noon on race day.
3. Participants registering after August 24 will not receive a complementary souvenir T-shirt or have the chance to take advantage of the optional upgrade to a dry-tech shirt for an extra $12 per person.

Multiple Events Options

One of the unique features of the Ottawa Inline Festival is the option to add additional events to your participation for just $15 per event. Here's how you do it:

• choose your main individual event (does not include 21 km relay)
• add on 1 or 2 additional individual events (check start times to avoid conflicts) for only $15 per additional event.
• upgrade your cotton T-shirt to a technical shirt for only $12 per person

All events will receive the full treatment in terms of timing chips, race bibs, sweat check, finishers medals, event shirt, refreshment area, published results. If you want more than 1 shirt, you have to purchase them additionally.

Heart and Stroke Foundation Fundraising

The Ottawa Inline Skating Festival is a proud supporter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Fit for Heart Program. Skaters are encouraged to donate, or collect pledges in support of this program. You can sign up to collect pledges over the Internet, or print out a pledge form for collecting pledges the old fashioned way.

Volunteers with the Heart and Stroke Foundation will have a tent set up in the Festival village to collect pledge forms and envelopes.

Participating with the Heart and Stroke Foundation fundraising is recommended, but not required to participate in the Festival.

Timing Chips and Bibs

Timing Chips will be available near the start line. All skaters, except for the relay event, will receive a different chip for each race they have entered. Make sure you wear the correct chip and matching bib for each race!

Note - you must have your bib in order to pick up your corresponding timing chip.

21 km team relay skaters will each be required to sign a waiver form when they pick up their bib. The team captain will pick up the team's timing chip which is to be worn by the final skater in the ream.

Timing chips are not included in your registration kit. Timing chips will be available around noon on race day at the Festival village. Please do not forget to pick up your timing chip before your events! A different timing chip is required for each race. Return your chip and pick up your new chip before participating in each race.

Race Results

Results will be available online at http://www.sportstats.ca/ on the day of the race.

Rain / Bad Weather, Refund & Cancellation Policy

• Races will proceed rain or shine. There is no rain date.
• In the event of severe weather, one or more races may be cancelled at the race organizer's sole discretion.
• No refunds will be issued in the event of rain, cancellation, or for any other reason.
