Decommissioning of Yahoo Group

In 2007 the OISC club will be decommissioning the Yahoo Group we have used for group discussions. The new Discussion Groups area on the club web site will be used instead. A step-by-step guide is available for Yahoo users who only wish to use the Discussion Groups area of our site and not become paid members. For a tour of its features and an introduction to how to use it, please view the overview. You may also view the common tasks page for more detailed reference materials.

Moving to our New Web site

In 2006 our club moved to a new web site with many new features. At the same time we are moving away from using Yahoo Groups. To help you make the transition to our new site and learn about its many new features and services, we have prepared a transition page with step by step instructions.

Problems Viewing Web site?

Can not see sub-menus (by the arrows) in main menu.

Our web pages use a Java script event to popup the sub-menus. You must lower your security settings around Java script to allow this event to work properly.

When I login I get an error message about cookies or a blank page.

From the options menu in you browser, find the section for "Cookies" and make sure that your browser is allowing "sites to set cookies" or "always allow session cookies". If you normally block sites from using cookies you will have to add our site to your exception list. In IE you can find the cookies option under Privacy and then click the Advanced button.
